0 Question: Why are Cloud's white Keywords: earth, sky, weather Asked by 246nenp43 to Sonia, Maureen on 15 Nov 2018. This question was also asked by 676nenp43.
Maureen answered on 15 Nov 2018:
In a cloud, sunlight is scattered by large water droplets. These scatter all colours almost equally meaning that the sunlight continues to remain white and so making the clouds appear white against the background of the blue sky.
Sonia Lenehan answered on 16 Nov 2018:
They are made of tiny water droplets and these scatter colour making the sunlight look white so the clouds look white! https://weather.com/science/news/why-are-clouds-white-20131013/
