0 Question: What makes grass green Keywords: earth, environment Asked by 527nenp43 to Sonia, Mossy, Maureen, Tiernan on 15 Nov 2018. This question was also asked by dalta5, 525nenp43.
Sonia Lenehan answered on 15 Nov 2018:
It has to do with the sun being reflected off an object. Grass absorbs other coloured lights but it reflects green light!
Maureen answered on 15 Nov 2018:
With grass, plants have a compound called chlorophyll, which absorbs red and blue light and reflects back green light. We can then see the green light! Chlorophyll is what gives the plants energy!
