      We have this barrier called the blood-brain barrier that only allows certain molecules like glucose, that is found in sugar, to cross it! Saying sugar goes to your head is more of an old saying to describe how eating sugar increases the sugar in your blood and can give you a spike in energy and make you a little hyper! It is mostly vitamins and amino acids that cross the blood-brain barrier!
